You may be eligible for FREE Dentures.
Learn how the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) helps Ontario residents access dentures and denture services. Our licensed denturists explain coverage, costs, and eligibility in simple terms.

What is the CDCP and Who Qualifies?

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal program designed to help Canadians without private dental insurance access essential oral health services — including dentures.

You may qualify if you:

  • Do not have dental insurance

  • Have an adjusted family net income under $90,000

  • Are a Canadian resident for tax purposes

  • Filed taxes last year (you and your spouse/common-law partner, if applicable)

Once approved, the CDCP provides financial support for many denture treatments, making professional denture care more affordable.

Denture Services Covered by CDCP

Our licensed denturists can help with all CDCP-covered denture services in Ontario, including:

1. Complete Dentures

Standard full upper or lower dentures — usually replaced every 8 years.

2. Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures require preauthorization, which we handle for you.

3. Immediate Dentures

Placed immediately after teeth extractions; preauthorization is also required.

4. Repairs, Relines & Rebases

Fix broken dentures, improve the fit, or refresh your existing dentures.

5. Tissue Conditioning

Soft liners or tissue conditioning treatments to improve comfort and fit.

How Much Will CDCP Cover?

CDCP coverage depends on your household income:

Note: CDCP pays according to its fee guide. If clinic fees are higher, you may have a small out-of-pocket cost, but we always review costs with you upfront.

Replacement and Maintenance: What You Need to Know

Denture replacement and maintenance have frequency limits under CDCP:

  • Complete dentures: every 8 years

  • Partial dentures: timelines vary; preauthorization is required for initial placement

  • Repairs, relines, and rebases: covered as needed to maintain fit and function

If your current dentures were made before CDCP approval, they typically do not affect eligibility for new dentures.

Services Not Covered by CDCP

While CDCP supports most denture services, it generally does not cover:

  • Cosmetic treatments

  • Implant-supported dentures

  • Appliances unrelated to dentures (night guards, etc.)

  • Services received outside Canada
